Evening Stars: Merce Cunningham Dance Company

Co-presented with The Joyce Theater, Evening Stars is here early and in a new location! This year Merce Cunningham Dance Company will create a site-specific Event, featuring a unique combination of new material and movement from past and current repertory, designed specifically for Rockefeller Park. Come celebrate one of the most extraordinary contemporary masters in his 90th year! All performances are FREE.
Company members are also conducting an afternoon Family Movement Workshop inspired by Merce Cunningham.
No commercial cameras or tripods permitted at this event.
Evening Stars is made possible in part, with public funds from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency. This project is made possibly by a grant from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, which is funded through community development block grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
