Arts Brookfield celebrates Make Music New York 2013 with an afternoon honoring the jazz saxophone! New York City – Mecca for the saxophone – is where Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Charlie Parker, Albert Ayler, Jimmy Heath, and others came as unknowns and made their own unique contributions to the greatness of jazz, and in the process became legendary giants of the idiom.

Some of the hippest voices of today’s jazz shine over three 15-minute solo sets at three different Downtown locations. Bring a lunch, join the musical journey, and experience a unique adventure that could only happen in New York City.
