British-born James Maddock, a mainstay on non-commercial and satellite radio, gained notoriety and accolades for his work with the band Wood and as a solo musician. His Americana sound won him praise at the 2010/11 NY Music Awards and WFUV’s 2011 Listener’s Poll.

British-born James Maddock first gained notoriety in the U.S. as leader of the band Wood. Their album, Songs From Stamford Hill, produced the Top 5 hit, Stay You was included in a Dawson’s Creek soundtrack, and remains a fan favorite over a decade after it was released. As a solo artist, Maddock has released Sunrise On Avenue C, winner of the 2010/11 NY Music Award for “Best Americana Album;” Wake Up and Dream, named one of the top albums of 2011 by a WFUV Listener’s Poll; and Another Life, his newest work released May 2013. Maddock has become a mainstay on non-commercial and satellite radio, and continues to tour extensively.
